Residential Awnings in Victoria

Here at Pete’s Tent and Awning we specialize in custom and innovative designed awnings that fit both your home and your lifestyle. We feel that an awning is an investment, and one that can add significant value to your residential property. Not only do they look fantastic on any home, but awnings can reduce your homes energy consumption by up to 25% by cooling your home down 8-15 degrees on those hot summer days. In addition, studies have shown that a dollar saved on energy costs can translate into up to $15 of resale value.

When deciding which style of awning works for you, there are a few things to consider. The most important things to ask yourself are: what are you using the awning for; and, what look do you like the most?

Here are some of your options:

Welded Frame Awning

This awning is a permanent fixture that is built with a lightweight and durable aluminum frame. They are suitable to be mounted over almost any size of window or doorway, and come with a 10 year warranty. For information regarding the fabric we use, refer to our page on Sunbrella.

Lateral Arm Awning

These awnings are great when used to cover a large area, such as a deck or patio, and are built to last. They begin as small as 8’ wide by 5’9” projection and can be made basically as large as you could want. Usually these awnings move in and out at the turn of a crank, but this process can also be motorized!

A drop shade awning has two major uses: firstly, they can be used as a way to replace your interior curtains. Secondly, they can be used to enclose an outdoor patio and protect it from both sun and wind.
